Strategy 4:
Good Opportunity to Attend College
Start your scholarship process here!
The path to college is difficult for many students. The cost for a college education is skyrocketing—one of many roadblocks that students and families face.
Each year the Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards approximately $500,000 in scholarships to Kent County residents. Some select scholarships are also available for residents of other counties. If you are a U.S. citizen or certified permanent resident residing in Kent or, in some cases, other counties and plan to attend a post-secondary institution, you may want to review the list of scholarships available from the Foundation.

Applications are available January 1 and due April 1 each year. Decisions are announced after June 20.
Need help applying for financial aid? Attend College Goal Sunday on February 8 at GVSU's downtown campus from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
