The Grand Rapids Community Foundation developed Meijer Good Schools for Grand Rapids and Good Classrooms Minigrant Program as its signature programs to reward schools and teachers for good performance and build support for schools located within the City of Grand Rapids.

Eligibility and program guidelines are different for each grant opportunity.

*Student Innovation Minigrants are available for proposals submitted by students that are school or student oriented. Maximum award is $500. Examples would be:

  • School or community improvement projects
  • Community service projects benefiting the school or community
  • Extracurricular activities that build community leadership development
  • Classroom projects planned by students
  • Any student(s), student organization, or classroom group in grades 6-12 of a Grand Rapids Public, Catholic, or Christian school is eligible.
